I think Bioware fans need to relax and accept that a game company can do different things. Yikes y'all.
I honestly think that ME:A would have done better financially if people weren't review bombing it and being so fixated on the animations, which were largely fixed. Not saying it's a perfect game, but it was a hell of a lot better than what the detractors were saying.

I think it's fine to be critical of a game, but I think that if people were more forgiving then ME wouldn't have been benched for the time being, and we'd have more content that would have been added after. Not happening any more.

I think the problem might at least be in part that people wait years and years and years and then still don't get the thing they thought was coming... I get it but it's why i have descended into fic. If thing is good... yay! If it isn't, well, bummer but back to AO3, then.

I was getting that impression but I must admit that for myself the art style uncanny valleyed me. Which is a me issue and not a game issue. I wish they hadn't given up on it so fast regardless because I knew a lot of people who did enjoy it.

It's clear to me that the overwhelming negative voices on the game affected sales, when if people just relaxed a little then maybe more would have given it a shot. Yeah, uncanny valley is a ME thing, not just an ME:A thing.
