Just because everyone else has problems does not mean yours are invalid. What you're going through is going to pass, but it's okay to not feel okay now.

Fighting a mental illness is like fighting a silent battle. No one can see how hard you’re fighting. You are doing the best you can. Keep fighting. You can do this.

Time is running out. The Arctic is melting, and could be gone by the time I’m in my 30s, and we need our leaders to make a decision now. I did the most northerly climate strike ever in the Arctic to convey my desperation and the urgency of the issue.

This isn’t because “2020 sucks”, it’s because of climate change and the fossil fuel industry, who knew for decades the damage they would cause, but decided to destroy life on earth because it made them rich. This isn’t a “2020 is a bad year” thing, this will continue to worsen.

Toxic positivity is very real. Reminders: -it’s ok not to be ok -You can’t just “think happy thoughts” on cue -“Thinking happy” doesn’t work or get you anywhere if you have lifelong patterns of self-hate (which we all do) -You aren’t weak if you can’t “pull yourself out of it”💛
