    Kind of an important effort: modern, flexible, extensible message formatting will help unlock all the CLDR/ICU work currently buried in individual formatting classes. I think this is key to unlocking great I18N CX.

    Message Formatting (formatting and inserting data values into messages in the user's language) can be very challenging. Unicode is formalizing a new working group to develop mechanisms for handling this. See

    PSA: The <bdo> element is (almost) never appropriate. If you're dealing with RTL text, use the 'dir' attribute on a convenient element.
