    State Highway 79 is closed north and southbound between East 144th Avenue and East 88th Avenue. Please use Strasburg Road as a detour around the area. Closure is expected to be lengthy due to an overturned semi-truck blocking both lanes.

    Accident on the train tracks at 124th and 85. This is an ongoing investigation and we are asking everyone to avoid the area. Union Pacific is leading the investigation.

    Seven units and 16 firefighters responded to fire at 3100 block of E. 78th Ave. assisted with four additional units and 10 firefighters. Items on fire: sheds and misc. property. Fire did not spread to boarded up farmhouse.
