I’m all about elected officials having a sense of humor and connecting, but remember this is the guy that laments about the vanishing American adult and then acts like that very person - unshaven, tie askew, making fun of people, their weight, and their interests.

For a lot of young Nebraskans and their families, their high school graduation is a big deal and milestone. I remember mine well, and it being a big family reunion and event.

Truly beyond words. Literally my family thought it was fake...when I assured them it was real they asked if he was drunk or on something. How anyone in good conscious could listen to this and then vote for his re-election is beyond me. Was there an inside joke that we r missing?
As a mental health professional in this state I emailed Senator Sasse to inform about the “grit” it takes for clients to walk into my office and to express my profound disappointment in him for reinforcing the stigma of mental health issues.

Does Sasse have a speech writer? Does he know you're allowed to do more than one take? Does he know you can do these things sober? The worst part, Obama's speech came out after and just made it look like Sasse was a high school student.

As a MH provider in a school, this was appalling. He was dismissive of our seniors accomplishments & the lengths they took to get here. It’s easy to say this is no big deal when you’ve had other accomplishments, but for many, this is the biggest they’ve had to date. Shameful
