I am researching the occupants of a South Kensington square in 1851 for my Masters dissertation. It has led me to a fascinating online book about life of a barrister’s wife in Sierra Leone when her husband was overseeing the destruction of slave ships.

Not an academic historian but I am currently using the UCL slave compensation database to research Lancaster's slave trading history as part of an investigation into its hidden history for our KS3 pupils.

Im exploring the fluctuations of visibility experienced by disabled people in 19th century Britain and Ireland within social, physical and literary spheres.

Cool. I've come across a bit of that material in the 18th century looking at the Chelsea Hospital and returning soldiers. It's not something I see written enough so look forward to seeing the products of your research.
