Just learned about the de Broglie wavelength equation. If p of a photon = h/λ, then when λ decreases due to refraction (upon entering higher refractive index medium), p increases even though the speed of light decreases. Why is that? Can’t find anything on google...

Just sounds a bit unintuitive that the momentum of anything would increase as velocity decreases...
