I actually had it in my calendar today to read a paper, and was gonna make some annotations!
But, a thought: one difficulty for me is that I do a lot of my reading in transit (with no internet connection) and am then likely to be distracted later and fail to annotate post-hoc.
No annotations so far. What would make people more likely? Seems to me that it needs a) social net sync so you get feedback and encouragement to annotate in groups, as a kind of conversation, b) very fast frictionless sign-on to get started, c) easier privacy/groups. Better search. An option to see annotated arxiv papers might be beneficial, unfortunately, [0] & [1] do not work as expected.
