    This has really shaken me. End of a legacy. The Silmarillion helped me through a painful time and is one of many works that wouldn’t exist without Christopher Tolkien’s tireless editing and collating of his father’s writing. He also drew the original LOTR maps. Thank you, Namárië

    Day 22 of Today I have created a text component for my game engine this allows me to easily create text of different sizes, colors, and fonts. I have also refactored my tile mapping to make way for a camera system

    Day 21 of Today I have implemented coins into my Mario parody, this also involves a couple new features to my engine such as collision detection and a movement component that will allow the coins to go side/side and up/down.

    Day 20 of Today I have implemented basic jumping and gravity into my Mario clone, as you can see the gravity system isn't perfect with the map however that will hopefully be fixed in a couple days when I handle collisions properly

    components in the form of other classes to bring in more functionality. For example, creating a trigger in a game would need an update method so I would inherit from the Actor base class and then attach an Update component.
