You must have seen an alternate ending. I saw it end on a soundstage as well, but only revealing that the moon landing was faked. THAT WAS BOLD, to tell the "Truth" so boldly without giving it away in the trailers.
Wow. I was not expecting #FirstMan
to end on a soundstage; slowly moving backwards to reveal a flat Earth. So bold.
