1.7% increase in payments won't make up for the indignity, inhumanity and lack of compassion that exists in the hostile environment that they created for disabled people. I'm still full of anxiety and dread every time a brown envelope comes through the door thanks to the DWP.
The BBC are leading news bulletins on the government announcing they will end the benefits freeze in 2020. The four-year freeze has always been due to end in 2020 and was last confirmed by the government back in January. It would be news if they decided not to end it.

The DWP used to make feel like that too, until I went to court and and had their case, which based on lies, overturned within a couple of mins. If you have medical evidence of your illness/disability then you have nothing to fear as the DWP loses mostbof their court cases.

The real news here is that after 4 years of the benefit freeze, it's only increasing by 1.7% while pensions are going up by close to 4%. All should be increasing by at least the higher of these two amounts
