As far as injuries, Sheriff Streck has had reports of several. But severity still unclear. This all happened at night so extent of damage is likely to grow as the sun comes up.

Damage from these
#tornadoes extends beyond Montgomery County. We have reports of damage in Mercer, Preble, Darke and many others. Again extent can’t be quantified yet but it’s extensive and in highly populated areas.Show this thread -

. DP&L just now live on our air says this could be a multi-day event to get power restored. Still accessing damage. Currently 33k + without power including 21,454 in Montgomery County.

We just spoke with a nurse from Brookville who was home with his wife when tornado struck. He says roads are impossible to drive on. Cars are turned over. He said it looks like a war zone. Rescue workers told him people are trapped under collapsed homes and trees.

He said he and his wife, who’s also a nurse, drove around as best as they could to try and help people. Both are trauma nurses. Kept coming back to saying it looked like a war zone.

UPDATE: The National Weather Service confirmed an EF3 tornado with winds up to 140 mph hit Trotwood in Montgomery County. Crews also working to confirm if it's the same tornado that hit Greene County.
