FLOTUS spox confirms Mrs. Trump wore a jacket to visit border kids that reads: "I really don't care. Do you?" Spox says: "It's a jacket. There was no hidden message. After today's important visit to Texas, I hope the media isn't going to choose to focus on her wardrobe."pic.twitter.com/Bp4Z8n455G

I find this shocking. That Melania wore a $39 jacket.

Of course Melania’s jacket had no hidden message. If it was hidden, it would have said “I don’t care” on the inside.

If the trip was so important to her she wouldn’t have pulled this stunt. It will overshadow the trip. Not because of the media. But because a fashion model so attuned to the statements clothing make, with 5,000 jackets, chose her trip to see children in jeopardy to be juvenile.

For someone that wears Dolce and Gabbana on a pretty regular basis, deciding to wear a 39 dollar Zara jacket feels pretty deliberate.
