Wait, I think you’re misunderstand what caring means. I’m referring to the company caring about what’s on their platform and what’s detrimental to their platform. Removing pedophiles and their comments is VERY important to a huge platform like YouTube.

What’s short-sighted and foolhardy is to believe a guy who says youtube is “promoting” or “allowing” pedophilia on their website, when - like all websites - they have systems in place to protect users from this sort of thing.

There’s literally a report function on every page where TOS-breaching content or comments can be reported. Also, it you’d done your research you’d already be aware that YouTube manually removed tens of millions of predatory comments from videos over the last month or so.

You’ve need to understand that thousands of hours of content are uploaded every hour to YouTube - their automated system remove content that breaks the rules as best it can, but the community need to report anything that gets through to YouTube for them to manually remove.

And u understand that Youtube's "Discovery" algorithm is in some cases dredging up old livestreams of children doing dares to make large playlists in larger channels for the easy access of anyone who wants it. I also think that the pedowhale problem is automated too

I see that as an (albeit unfortunate) bi-product of the original intention of the algorithm - originally it was to tailor the discovery experience to the user. However, it's not usually your first instinct to think "Hey, what if pedos take advantage of this?" so I can see (cont)

Well I figured you were talking about “Search and Discovery”, which is a common term for the way YouTube’s algorithm decides what videos to recommend to me each individual user, but I guess I’m just completely wrong.

If this is what’s causing the problem, it’s probably worth mentioning it to @TeamYouTube, especially if it puts children in danger.
I didn’t know this feature existed, and don’t know anyone who uses it, so if only had people like predators are using it, maybe remove it?
