There's something hilarious about people who unironically use It's Always Sunny clips as part of their own commentary. Like, y'all know their characters are parodies of yourselves, right?

This isn't inspiring. This isn't motivational. This literally supports his point that capitalism is a huge problem.

‘Squid Game’ creator Hwang Dong-hyuk wrote the show in 2009 but was rejected by studios for 10 years. He once had to stop writing the script + sell his $675 laptop due to money struggles. Today, it’s #1 in 90 countries + set to become the most-watched show in Netflix history.

I didn't get access to adderall til my early 20s. Had my ADHD been diagnosed much earlier on and I got access to medication like this, I would have done so much better in school, after school activities, set myself up for a better life. Quit trying to demonize medicine

Last thing I’m tweeting today since it’s being talked about on the WZ timeline Adderall is basically legal meth and is over prescribed to kids who have shaky legs or can’t focus on the equation of a slope. It’s highly addictive and changes people.

Don't you see an issue with classical institutions using this ambiguity as an opportunity to play more beethoven music saying instead of commissioning black composers who are alive today?

At some point I've wanted to actually get some good insight on this situation but all the weird fancam shit on Depp and the absurd demonization of Heard is so deeply uncomfortable

I don't know if that's how it started but some have definitely tried to spin it in their favor. Promote diversity saying "well we don't know if he's actually white" while not supporting black composers in history or commissioning living black composers today.

Speaking as a bald transfemme, it's pretty upsetting to see it consistently used as a punchline. I didn't have a chance with pattern baldness coming for me since my teens. Please do better.

They really put a trans woman in Hogwarts Legacy and named her Sirona Ryan. They literally put "sir" in her fucking name. Are we really sure Rowling didn't ghost write this?

I get that she's upset her account was suspended and such but in the end, she still chose to review and promote the game. Now she claims being put on a list of streamers who played HL is worse than literal antisemitism from the game.

Takes like this also tend to leave nonbinary trans girls like us out of the discussion. Many nonbinary people do medical transition in some way and to act like it's separate issue is very much playing into transmed takes.

I think people are allowed to be upset with the recent GDC situation but responding to it with transphobia is seriously fucked up and not ok

The fact he immediately go "huh, is this a transfemme" sticks out more as confidence. I don't know if there's enough to say "definitely not a chaser" but I'm leaning neutral to positive he just likes women regardless of genitalia

I definitely understand the worry but from what I've seen, chasers tend to try to keep it "secretive." And from all the cishet men I've interacted with, when they get questions like this, their immediate reaction is no. Transfemmes never even cross their mind

Happy #TransDayOfVisibility ! Transitions aren't just clothes or hair or hormones but an amalgamation of these and more that embraces your transformation. Trans people and especially trans kids must be protected. I hope to see a future where we don't just survive but thrive.

Considering the creator of the franchise lobbies against my right to exist and get the health care I need, nah I'm going to be as critical as possible. Don't like it, keep scrolling

I can tell you if people assumed my pronouns I'll be a dysphoric mess because many of these factors are currently out of my control. Encouraging people to assume pronouns will only cause far more harm than good especially for those early in transition

It is nice to hear that, I know you meant well. Dunk on the fascist as much as you want, he deserves it. Just, when you reinforced it with "I got hormones before baldness got me" it hurts those of us who never got the chance to prevent it.

This is a massive thing I deal with when it comes to my only known variation. There could be more and I'm working towards those answers but my god I should not have found out in my 20s

After reading and taking in both sides, Ive changed my way of thinking. Women and men can be friends. However they can’t be “close friends” because chances are, men will project their insecurities on Twitter cause he can't get into their pants.

People only seem to say "think of the devs" whenever it's about protecting their purchase of magical TERF world simulator. Where the fuck is this energy with literally any other AAA game?

I wasn't out when I worked seasonal for Best Buy (was still an egg) but I remembering being hired on the spot only for them to ignore my schedule conflicts about only being able to take public transportation. Then they put me on jobs so early or late that no busses were running

I worked on Making Friends almost a year ago and to my surprise it wounded up in a Kotaku article?! Whoa! You all should check this out 💕

so this morning i saw someone VERY ancillary to me on fb mention on a post, "well Beethoven was black" & I can't tell you how much it ruined my shower because a) it's WRONG and b) because the motivation behind that statement is SO dangerous (A THREAD) 1/6

For real, not every trans person needs hormones but holy hell 1+ year on HRT and some mental health struggles don't affect me like they used to. It's amazing what the right chemicals can do
Composers, when you write music for voices, just call them voice parts (soprano, alto, tenor, bass, etc). Don't call them Men or Women. Gender markers are not inclusive or helpful here

The worst part of working on music is that you can't just, listen to other music while working on it. Almost anything other task ends up going better cause I listen to music while doing it but that's just not feasible here.

If it wasn't for my professor transitioning in her 50s and being a helpful mentor, I likely would not have come out and started transitioning myself. Mindsets like this will only continue to harm the trans community

I ended up getting direct feedback on my sound design reel after applying for a position. As much as it sucks to know you'll have to make more projects to put in your reel, can't tell you how helpful it is to have feedback from a job application. Exceedingly rare in this scene

As someone who literally was bullied daily for large portions in elementary school for loving Pokemon, this is gaslighting. This is just rebranded "cringe culture" to target neurodivergent people for their hyperfixations and special interests. It's not ok.

CW: Transphobia/Transmisogyny If you're trans and only consider others trans when they visibly "pass," congratulations you're just as transphobic as the people who are trying to take away our healthcare. Transmedsnsre pretty cringe

I had to pay for the precheck before heading to GDC just for a shot at avoiding the possibility of being assaulted. That article posted this morning is beyond fucked and contributes the continued dehumanization of trans women
