    New article supporting horseshoe crabs as arachnids is especially interesting because it suggests that mites+pseudoscorpiones may have branched away from the rest of Arachnida by the Ordovician (when horseshoe crabs first appear in the fossil record).

    LVC's Dr. Urban is researching the effect of road salt on the Bladderwort plant. They have little “mouths” to eat microscopic mites. The mouth works like a Venus Fly Trap, only faster! She found that the salt slows down their eating response.
