  6. Please pay attention and respect temporary closures in the Day Mountain area from December 8-15. Chainsaws will be used to cut branches and limbs hanging over the carriage road. Workers using chainsaws cannot hear you. Your safety depends on your own good judgement.

  7. In accordance with an Executive Order commemorating the passing of George Herbert Walker Bush, the 41st president of the United States, Acadia National Park offices will be closed for the scheduled workday on Wed, Dec 5. U.S. Flags will fly at half-staff until Dec 30.
