I will continue to protect the safety of all San Franciscans — residents, crime victims, public servants and those who live and work in our jails. Though I know my efforts can’t protect my own father, I hope they will save someone else’s.https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2020-05-06/mass-incarceration-san-francisco-coronavirus …
we're dying out here too. testing isn't readily available outside of prison either. I do not under any circumstance think emptying the jails makes sense. Do you think people who chose to commit violent crimes deserve special treatment? Why? What about accountability and safety?

you think that these people made their choices, choices that they are solely responsible for, and so that justifies them dying from a horrible disease if it means protecting ‘us’ (law abiding ppl). It doesn’t even protect ‘us’ but is that a fair representation of your argument?

I do not think clearing the jails and letting them walk free is the answer. Look at the death toll from this decision already. Dying from a disease vs dying at the hand of a violent criminal - I choose Covid. There are consequences for ones actions. No longer replying to you.
