It sure looks like quite a few of L1-speaking teachers could use this memo/PD as well affirming all students in their own classrooms.
Colleague: how is it going with the “X” for #Latinx and all that fun stuff these days?
Me: who said this was supposed to be funny? Is not. It takes a lot to practice #inclusive lang with your Ss. Honoring and validating identities should be on every L2 teacher PD these days.

Yup, that too, I don’t network with L1 educators often, but it would not surprise me at all. What shocked me was the “fun stuff” part in that question, is that a default/small talk catch phrase these days?
