Damn I’ve never heard this before. My fiancé had graduated from nursing school with her BSN and the amount of work and intelligence it took for that and more so for PHD, I couldn’t imagine how somebody could make it through with that mindset. Absolutely mind blowing.

Yep, every child born because of a C-section owes their life to the black women who lost theirs on an operating table as they were experimented on to learn the techniques. And don’t even get me started on the Tuskegee “Study”

Please provide references and examples citing real people so we can do our own research. Hearing so much of this but it’s hard to know if it’s factual or just part of the woke narrative.

besides asking to see someone else, i’ve also heard that asking for it in writing is also a good idea! someone refusing you care, saying it’s probably nothing? ask for it to be documented! when a doctor needs to sign a paper saying they did nothing, it gets the gears turning.

Sexism in medicine has forced me to do this in order to survive. Black women are far more at risk than me which is abjectly terrifying bc medical misogyny is bad enough without intersecting bigotry

Yeah, this is why black women die in child birth so often. Because our doctors don’t listen to us.
