Only men are required by law to register for Selective Service or become felons, be fined & lose voting rights. What's our negative incentive if felons can vote? Oh, and we're a Republic.pic.twitter.com/Eq09i6bXmk

sorry, but unless I misunderstand your point there's a correction to be made here. Vermont and Maine are in fact the only two states in the union who allow prisoners to vote while incarcerated. every other state bars felons from voting at least until their sentence is served.
oh okay I think your point was moreso about the prison population vs the populations of those states.....I was just confused because of your choice to include VT. maybe go with NH or RI to avoid confusion? they've got felony disenfranchisement laws on the books.
No. We should fix racist laws that imprison black + brown people disproportionately to begin with and restore voting rights to excons. I don't want felons having the power to swing elections (potentially being coerced into votes) anymore than I want a crook as a president.
Or maybe the public school system should stop causing so many kids to grow up and become criminals
I agree with on many issues. In this case, however, people should be able to vote after they pay their debt to society. And, as mentioned above, let’s fix the system to eliminate racism and classism.
So you want convicted pedophiles to vote?
