    Our gasoline used to have lead in it. So did our toothpaste, our canned food, our paint... We got that lead removed. Is it too much to ask that in 2019, we do the same with our water pipelines?

    When I was a student at Michigan, I used to volunteer at this free clinic. As Detroit’s Health Director, I was glad that it continued to serve the city of Detroit. I’m glad these folks are telling the story of how many people these clinics are helping:

    We need to stop focusing on polar bears when we talk about climate change. The real faces of climate change are low-income kids, who, everyday, are forced to breath in exhaust produced by corporate factories. The centers those kids. That’s why I believe in it.
