      Many disagree. Most adherently those who have recovered from said disorder. Again, I have compassion for those who suffer such a condition, but I'm not going to pretend it is something it's not for the sake of political correctness.

      We don't tell schizophrenics that the voices in their heads are real people, just to make them feel better about hearing them. It doesn't HELP people to encourage their disorders. You love them. You help them. There's not silver bullet.

      Being schizophrenic impedes your everyday life, it keeps your from being a functioning member of society. How does being trans have any such effect on someone?

      I'm not interested in getting into an argument about it. I used schizophrenia because it's not under 'contention' as a mental disorder. But it's still something you have compassion for those suffering from it.

      If someone born a man thinks that they're actually a woman, then the issue is either mental or physical. They'll either adjust their thinking or their body. When a person has reassignment surgery, that is their concession to the latter.

      Is Anorexia a mental illness? When someone looks in the mirror, and they're 98 lbs, but they see a fat person, is that any less of a mental illness than a man looking in a mirror and seeing a woman?
