I can’t wait to finally share our team’s hard work with our Austin family. Thank you for this opportunity. There are two options to see it depending on your comfort level, we’ll be showing during a live screening and on their virtual platform. Let’s watch movies!

The only valuable writing advice is to let go of self-imposed timelines and expectations. Otherwise, you’ll spend all your time getting there stressed and disappointed. Then, when something finally breaks and you’re busy beyond belief, you’ll wish you’d enjoyed the journey more.

I read this script years ago and I mourn that we didn’t get a crazy vampire movie from Joe Dante. Never say never!

I’ve heard nothing but glowing praise for this show. Six Feet Under is a hell of a comp, so I’m even more excited.

And there’s The Last ‘80s Newsletter (You’ll Ever Need), my month-by-month review of every single film of a decade that is often reduced to a conversation about the same 50 films. That’s $50 a year! Less than $5 a month!

Wow, Debbie Allen just laid down one of the best award speeches I’ve ever heard. Look it up tomorrow if you just missed it. Absolute fire.

Autumn is the absolute best. She did the costumes for our short and designed the killer costume for Brightburn. Fellow filmmakers, get your calls into her now while you can because she’s 🔥 🔥🔥

Just a few hours away until you can check out Nightbooks on Netflix. This is the one you use to get your kids hooked on horror! It’s a blast.

I love you Nicki, but any medical advice that begins with “my cousin’s friend” and ends in “swollen balls” is not quite as powerful as data that suggests these vaccines (which btw had no effect on my testicles or my wife’s love for me) are 91% effective against hospitalizations.

If you're not a subscriber, you can't read today's newsletter, and if you can't read today's newsletter, why do you even have the Internet? I mean, for reals.
