This has been becoming a bigger and bigger problem with SFPD+DPW sweeps of unhoused San Franciscan's living situations. It's actually something I was working on improving/ameliorating this week, including talking to City Hall staff and some NGO peeps.
Proud of the City's leadership on compassionate solutions to homelessness. Still need supportive/step-up housing but the interagency response coordination has improved. Thanks for sharing this, Kelley. I continue to be opposed to Prop Q sweeps, which we knew would be failure. Do think having better interagency coordination w/ caring & trained staff can help people get resources. Working hard for D3 Nav Center & hoping OurCityOurHome $ comes thru
