low growth plus ageing populations is a new context, yes. Ultimately their elderly care will need to be socialised too....but its going tough to build that coalition, no doubt.

There's a generation war here & in the States. I am 70 but I voted for Corbyn & would do so again. It's time the middle aged & old handed over to the young, many of whom are struggling to get by thanks to the selfish greed of many older people who won't relinquish any control

Well, this is a disaster. Biden is a long shot to win, but I guess he could. But hold up, why does anyone even want him to win? What could possibly be achieved by a Biden presidency? Would be worse than Obama but, he lacks the charisma so at least there'd be scrutiny this time.
