Nope, I'll get behind whoever wins. Unlike some of the hucksters and con artists who destroyed the party's chances over the last few years.

Talk of ending 'factionalism' in Labour is way off. The truth is a large majority of members, affiliates & supporters backed Corbyn in 2015 (60%). He was immediately subject to coordinated wrecking by party MPs. That wasn't 'factionalism', it was an anti-democratic disgrace.

  4. Surely Campbell isn’t being serious. How old were you when you bought your first house ? How much debt did going to university cost you? I don’t want pity even for people my age - it’s today’s teenagers and kids who are really shafted.

After the candidate has won you get behind them (something many Labour MPs failed to do with Corbyn). I’ll do that whoever wins the Labour leadership. But until then debate is GOOD. These guys should be tested!

I've not looked at a copy of in a long time and thought 'wow, that really looks worth buying'. This is an exception - interview looks fantastic and lead features look interesting.

The Russia stuff was always a dead end. Who else remembers people saying Trump wouldn’t last a year? Now his approval ratings, according to Gallup, are at an all time high. Paradoxically that’s because he has an agenda and isn’t obsessed with polls!

Completely wrong-headed policy. This is not about banning anything - we need a green new deal to accelerate the falling cost of electric vehicles. It will cost hundreds of billions but will put money in people's pockets!

Not great optics here, folks: - Dems paid company literally called Shadow to create caucus app - Buttigieg campaign also paid Shadow, FEC records show - Caucus app fails - Buttigieg declares himself Iowa winner with no results

The ‘independent body’ will be chosen by who precisely? What is more Starmer has said he’d want certain categories of case on his table. That’s not an ‘independent’ system, it’s an interventionist one.

Labour MPs are 52% women and it reflects Britain’s BAME population pretty well. Unclear what this means. Like much else from Starmer sounds good, but closer to a platitude than a proposal.

Starmer unveils eight key reforms to make Labour “open, respectful, creative and engaging”. There is no real democratic reform of the party here, beyond potentially 4. Otherwise just nice things with no real clarification (2) or non-commitments.

The average student graduates with debts of £50,000. The Labour right, which used to perennially talk about the future, is stuck talking about 25 years ago. As long as these people have national profile, any otherwise electable leader will suffer.

This Iowa stuff is dodgy as hell. It’s not conspiracy to say this is going to hurt Sanders the most - robbing him of an early victory and more momentum. Truth is that the biggest winner is Trump. Dems have spent years talking about electoral integrity and can’t run a ballot.

It’s about how left figures often support left causes further from home. Not particularly new & Boyle not a particularly egregious example! (He’s got great politics). Not a new observation. But it’s also why I really admire those who stuck neck out. Huge stigma was attached!

Bernie Sanders, it seems, has hegemonised the debate for public healthcare among Democrats. This isn’t even close!

This is interesting: what are the most important issues for Iowa Democratic caucus goers? Healthcare, climate change, inequality and foreign policy. One candidate has a clear offer on all of them
