I have annoyed some of my (former?) friends in the ACDP by repeatedly calling out incorrect information that they have published concerning Covid vaccines.
If one calls for "informed" consent, then it is a good idea to ensure that what one shares is CORRECT.

Prof. Mahdi confirms it is IN trial. "The decision by the government to pause the J&J vaccine needs to be contextualised in that the vaccine is used as a clinical trial. In this clinical trial, the participants need to always to informed of any risks."https://www.enca.com/news/benefits-outweigh-risks-prof-madhi-jj-vaccine …

I will stick my neck out here and state that he used the incorrect term in the interview, and that your claim is still false. I propose that we email Prof Mahdi, and ask him to clarify, in terms of our dispute. If I am wrong, then I shall apologise publicly to the ACDP.

If Prof Mahdi confirms that the Sisonke programme is a study, but not a clinical trial in the normal sense of the term, and that the J&J vaccines are NOT experimental (the real point of dispute), then the ACDP could perhaps also publicly apologise for misleading it's supporters.
