Instead of it 'diluting democracy' as you say, we believe it strengthens democracy. It's our experience. It adds new layers of accountability, brings other voices to the fore as parties strengthen while others decline. It's the natural political course for an informed electorate
What is the effective rate of a government made of smaller parties with major differences unable to reach consensus on matters pertaining to the people and future of a country. Add identity politics and yes ideology you may be right, realistically you know I am.
And then those other voices brought to the fore suggest snorting baby shampoo, taking unproven agricultural drugs, banning same-sex marriage and preventing abortions? No. Rather hou jou bek.
