      To protest is a right, but @SadtuNational have abused the privilege. It's all about getting the most amount of money for the least amount of effort, the nation's children be damned.

      They’ve done other things like disallowed outside subject inspectors , and interfered with promotions and appointments etc

      So standards can't be monitored? No wonder the literacy rate among youngsters is so shocking. What does Angie say or do? Sit on her hands? Ugh.

      Angie did implement the testing (ANA ) of student levels which is how we discovered how bad the numeracy and literacy rates are . She has been working toward lifting those at an earlier level and she has focused on ECD but there is a deep level of dysfunction in education

      I would support free ECD education long before I support free tertiary education. Stimulation at an early age is super important.

      Agree , we would go as far as to support creches attached to schools ffom age 2 for a couple of hours for early stimulation
