Is there another country on earth as obsessed with high school graduation results as South Africa? Nope. That’s because education was supposed to be our saviour, but a) you have to buy your way in and b) it doesn’t provide upward mobility in locked down economy.
Not sure about a locked down economy but a bad education system is a definite factor in keeping the poor where they are . GOOD education is everything
