It always show me where copyrighted material appears in my videos... It also gives me the option to “play match” and remove any copyrighted songs post release Is this a feature other people are just missing or am I lucky?

Ohhhhh, that clears a lot up thank you! I get way more auto claims than manual so I never really experience this. I didn’t know things were this bad tbh!

Even if losing 100% revenue from using a short audio clip may be abusing, i am totally fine with it. The problem comes when some brands manually claim your videos without giving any information. We get manually claimed week after week by

Appeal the claim if you know you’re in the right

We do it everytime, and they reject the appeals. After this, you have the option to appeal again, but this time they can only Release the video or copyritgh strike you (take down the video). 3 strikes =bb to our daily job.

I understand the fear of receiving strikes etc... But if you just take this sort of thing lying down - it will continue to happen. You have to decide if it’s worth it tbh

This is not solid advice! @Jameskii had this same issue. It'll just get rejected again. We just need to pray @TeamYouTube or anyone from corporate puts a stop to this.
