Vice Chancellor Dr. Rubana Huq signed an MOU with the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) through which initially FBCCI members will partially support 30 students annually in attending AUW.

Mr. Kamal Ahmad, AUW Founder called on the Most Reverend Archbishop Bejoy N. D’Cruze, OMI, the Archbishop of Dhaka at the Archbishop’s residence today. They have agreed to collaborate in AUW’s recruitment of students from tribal and other minority communities

We do not have words to adequately convey how saddened at the loss of Former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.  Mrs. Abe was AUW Patron and we respected and admired her service to women's education. We mourn this loss for the Abe family and the people of Japan.

Congratulations to AUW student, Miftahul Saima, who has been awarded a competitive scholarship to Designing with Dignity. A hands-on course on humanitarian architecture based in a rural setting. Focusing on community engagement, co-design, & ethics.

Student success! Savitri Kumari, AUW Class of 2015, ranked number one after completing the Jharkhand Civil Services exam. The Environmental Sciences major was among 350,000 candidates taking the exam for Jharkhand state. Read the news (in Hindi):

AUW Dean of Arts and Sciences Dr. Beena Khurana gave an opening speech heightening the importance of SRH education to maintain a healthy life cycle. The workshop was enthusiastically attended by nearly 100 students and ended with a very interactive questions and answers session.

Dr. Camilla Alay Llamas from UMC Utrecht and representative of Share-Net International attended the session online. Five talented AUW students ( Ashlin Rachel Geoge; Zainab Musavi, Tofrida, Suzana Shrestha and Somaya Ahmadi) are involved as Research Assistants in the project.

AUW students responded enthusiastically and submitted many entries in each of 3 categories. Submitted multimedia entries highlighted SRH issues including domestic violence, child marriage, menstrual health, abortion, climate change, gender-based discrimination, & girls' education

AUW collaborates with the University Medical Center Utrecht, the Netherlands on CATAPULT (Capacity strengthening in epidemiology and public health) project funded by Nuffic & SRH (Sexual and Reproductive Health) multimedia project funded by Share-Net International.

#AUW welcomes students from Balochistan (Pakistan): AUW has offered admission and scholarship to 10 outstanding emerging leaders from small towns and villages in Balochistan. AUW Founder, Kamal Ahmad, met with some of the Baloch students as they prepare to leave for Chittagong.
