The current situation at Bandra Station, now dispersed or even the rioting in Surat is a result of the Union Govt not being able to take a call on arranging a way back home for migrant labour. They don’t want food or shelter, they want to go back home

This evening met up with Uddhav Thackeray ji along with Minister ji and me. Better Together, Stronger Together to assist as many people through as many people. Good to have met a good soul to work for the people together.
Absolutely shameful, what lust for power politics can make leaders do. Making kids stand in the heat, with their masks lowered, not covering the face for a political protest when we need to keep them safe and indoors. Corona ko bhul gaye, politics pyaara hai.
Finally a project I was working closely on with Minister ji who initiated the plastic ban, has been approved by the Cabinet. I’m extremely happy that this focused ban on single use plastics will take effect soon. This was needed to protect our environment (1/2)
One political party state unit has set a new low and a new world record- the only party in the world to indulge in politics and in spreading fear, hate and division when the world has forgotten all of it to help each other. This party has forgotten the pandemic.
The NSCI Dome being transformed into a huge quarantine centre as we step up our contact tracing and testing in . Till now, our contact tracing has been highest and testing too. Ensuring that carriers are isolated for their own safety and for that of others

The has decided to open up testing to any individual in the city without prescription/ self attestation. Labs can now conduct RT PCR tests as per ICMR guidelines at the will of anyone. This will help citizens feel safer and test when they have a doubt, without any delays.

The BEST double-decker, now electric!
CM Uddhav Thackeray and I have been personally keen on reviving Mumbai’s iconic double-decker buses.
To campaign abt an Act in schools is ridiculous. What is the need for such political campaigning justification, if there is no ill intent? Politicisation of schools mustn’t be tolerated. If politicians want to speak in schools, speak on gender equality, helmets, cleanliness!
The Govt of Maharashtra has decided to vaccinate all its citizens free of cost.
This is not something that we think of as a choice, but a duty that we consider of utmost importance: protecting the citizens from Covid.

This afternoon, I chaired a meeting of the and Tourism dept to work on multiple possibilities that both agencies could work together on across the city.
While I was pointing out certain gaps in the process, I see 2 clear political divides as a response. That isn’t what I stand for.
We need unity over division, faith over fear, resolve over panic and purity of intent over politics.
