    the $20 rate thing is just a very very good example of one of the many reasons newsrooms all over the country are unionizing. it's easy to get really mad at an individual outlet but i have been paid less than $20 for a news hit--this is sadly endemic to the entire industry.

    the people most affected by low rates are the newer folks that are only just starting in the industry and aren't part of the conversations to be able to compare rates with other sites/would never try to negotiate with a "dream" publication out of fear of losing the opportunity

    Only about halfway done with this one; look what a wild different it makes!

    A closeup of the tan design on Aiden’s furisode sleeve. It has a bunch of Daisy-like flowers in fine lines, most of which have been covered with gold leaf now. The ones that are not are bright orange.
