70% of Americans believe “global warming is happening” and 57% believe “global warming is being caused mostly by human activities," according to a massive survey.https://nbcnews.to/2EY8rIa

The ones not believing we're doing it keep using the argument of, 'Earth has done this before' yes, but not at the rate that we are seeing today. The rapid pace of this change is our doing and with that comes more vicious natural disasters that eventually will cripple us.

So what you are saying it is going to happen anyway and inevitably. Just man made makes it happen quicker. And it is still going to happen anyway....soooooooo what now Sherlock? Regardless climate is going to change....

Not what I'm saying at all, actually. The last time this happened was roughly 2 million years ago, so we have not yet dealt with a climate like this, but the difference between then and now is these severe natural disasters were not part of the natural warming.

Mass famine is to be expected sooner than we're prepared for, our forests are absorbing carbon dioxide at a rapid rate due to us, this is why the wildfires are getting worse because the trees are essentially becoming carbon bombs.

We have the power to lower global temperatures and stop the earth's natural disasters from becoming more catastrophic. The problem is that trying to switch over all our energy right away would cause an economic collapse in most areas, that's how reliant we are on fossil fuels.

That’s false. Temperatures are dropping. There are more holes 🕳 in this “theory” than Swiss 🧀 It’s a tax grab and attempts to control. Ain’t gonna happen

No, it is not just some big scheme. If this wasn't true then the Artic's ice caps would not be melting as quickly as they are, but you probably think that's made up too despite the images and data we've collected on it shrinking.

They aren’t. Check again. And if they were, why is the sea level in Ft. Lauderdale not moved even half an inch in 50 years? Nothing you chicken littles say ever comes true. DECADES gone by and nothing. But keep trying to frighten people...

They are, lol. No point in debating this though. But there is plenty of proof that the artic is not doing well, and it isn't just Government goon scientists claiming this, we have independents going up there and coming back with physical evidence to show.

And not even just independents, professors from top universities but you just probably think every single one must be being paid to say it.

Definitely And even still, none of them can prove how ramming taxes down our throats will ever “change the climate”. None of the proponents live like they care or even believe what they’re saying. Flying in private planes ✈️ to lecture us about the evils of carbon? 😂😂😂😂

This is part of the problem with the polls....they polarize the science. Yes, there is a natural element of global warming BUT the man-made interference since the industrial revolution has seriously disrupted that natural cycle, maybe even broken it.

Yes, because our infrastructure is gradually heating up the earth but people don't seem to believe a mass amount of infrastructure is capable of producing such an effect.

No, and that is because we keep framing it as a debate or an opinion you can have the luxury of negating. The fact is that this affects every aspect of our behaviour and it's time to get on to approaches and planning rather than rehashing the debate that is long over.

It also doesn't help when we have people claiming that EVERY scientist across the globe is being paid to give these warnings.

Yes, conspiracy theories are legend on this subject & we shouldn't tolerate them much less debate them. Honestly, this one really grates though, scientists don't get paid or respected as much as they should and we have wingnuts running around suggesting they are all millionaires
