the vaccines are good. but we're so (including some on the left) caught up in an individual framework that we get takes like this. get everyone collectively vax'd, it reduces the spread and makes it safer for everyone.

we have so much confusing guidance because vaccines aren't meant to be used individually. they are a population level tool. gotta keep shouting that.

Not to nit-pick, but there is good evidence, for non-Delta variants at least, that vaccination reduces the risk of spreading the virus if you do get infected. For Delta, I don't think there's enough data to make a definitive statement at this point. But yes, it's not "impossible"
