These “military eminent domain” cases are all about seizing enemy property or property about to fall into enemy hands. Last time I checked, the United States wasn’t at war with ranchers in California, Arizona, New Mexico, or Texas.

Trump brags that he's getting thousands of calls in support of his shutdown, but the White House switchboard is closed ... due to the shutdown. Maybe he's using telepathy.

Conservatives love the 50s. But for some reason they don’t love the free college and 90 percent marginal tax rate that produced the era.

Actually not so split, 31% say it is not needed, 35% say there are better options, and only 34% think it is needed. So 66% -- that is a full 2/3 of respondents -- are anti-wall.

Trump's confusing message: He claims he can declare a national emergency and build wall himself; Mexico is paying for it through a trade deal that hasn't been approved by Congress; and the wall is already being built. But he wants Congress to appropriate $5 billion for the wall

Just to be clear, the funding bills we passed last night would: 1. Reopen the government 2. Keep these unjust raises from happening and 3. Instate a 1.9% COLA to all other federal employees (who've more than earned it)

Outrage solely at Trump’s tone & tweets is dangerously misplaced. Real threat is his tax bill that sold out workers’ futures for corporate gains, wall funding that will take dollars from schools & roads, his mockery of civil rights & his unrelenting effort to gut our health care.
