    LWV Arkansas has filed a lawsuit seeking to reinstate the -initiated constitutional amendment calling for a fair, citizen-led redistricting process on the Nov. ballot. The group collected nearly 150K signatures in support of the initiative.

    Justice Josephine Linker Hart wrote in her dissent: “Today, the majority has disenfranchised more than 90,000 citizens. By signing the petition, these registered voters clearly manifested their desire to have these issues placed on the ballot.” Read more:

    "[T]he group submitted 50,000 signatures...this gives them 150,000 signatures for the redistricting measure to be voted on." Over 150,000 people signed the petition to make sure voters can choose their politicians – not the other way around.
