AP FACT CHECK: Parents of kidnapped child put the blame for the kidnapping on kidnappers. But it takes two to tango. Kidnappers' demand for $5.7 billion for the kid is one reason for the impasse. The parents' refusal to approve the money is another.

Sure ISIS is bad for taking hostages, but isn't the US also to blame for refusing to pay the ransom?

This is dishonest. The Dems passed the SAME EXACT bill the GOP passed UNANIMOUSLY a few weeks ago, but they refuse to take it up now.
-
* Dems passed bill in house for GOP to take back up in Senate, where it was previously unanimous. GOP would be able to override Trump's veto, but they don't wanna go over his head, despite this being bad for the country and only good for Trump

Conveniently forgetting that the budget was passed unanimously in the Senate, and that not until Ann Coulter shamed Trump on his Wall campaign promise did Trump announce he wouldn't sign and then Paul Ryan refused to allow a vote on the budget. But, go ahead and "both sides" this
