We suspect Google has switched to App Bundles and split APKs for Google Home v2, so sideloading the uploaded APKs we've seen so far would not work. We're holding until we can hopefully get the "fat" APK to share with all the right bits inside.

So for future apps , we would not be able to get desired version apk and install it, correct ? Other than playstore ofcourse

what's an "app bundle"?

Phone downloading from Google play only things what need for itself (like resolution, language, architecture, etc.) So downloaded APK will not work on other phones.
