You can press charges against a sitting president? O.o I'm pretty sure the only recourse for Trump Sr would be impeachment, no?

It’s complicated. The constitution doesn’t specifically outline this sort of thing nor does federal law to my knowledge.

Clinton v Jones ruling stated the president only has executive immunity for actions taken inside the office regarding their job. Since this was on the campaign trail, he was not a sitting president therefore he can be charged
