Novak makes it extremely hard to root for him... He shouldn't be allowed to stay, that would be the worst possible outcome. Vaccine mandates should be above all else priority number 1 right now...

They should! You don’t go to someone else’s country and refuse to follow their rules. Stay in your own country.

If an ordinary person can't travel to Australia without a Covid jab, then why someone is granted a visa just because he/she is a famous athlete? Either let everyone in without a Covid job or don't discriminate based on the social status of someone.
-
Being vaccinated or unvaccinated is not a social status. It is a medical status during a pandemic. Would you want a person coming into and traveling around your country who carries something highly infectious, like polio or typhus?

How about we stop treating people like rules don't apply to them? I don't believe the virus recognizes whether it has hitched a ride on a professional tennis player or the person who makes the donuts.

His visa disallowance should’ve been clarified well before he arrived there. The government is just making a spectacle of it. Besides, he competed last year with no issue, why would this year be any different, with a weaker variant?

Dude shoulda been vaccinated. Full stop. That’s it. He’s not a victim.
