        It seems the judges that were put there, whether they were Trump or McConnell, have been throwing the charges at the big hitters who were involved with January 6th.

        this is news? parties make motions for summary judgments all the time; when they aren't granted, that's not newsworthy---*unless* such motion *particularly* had merit---is AP saying that the indictment *should* have been thrown out?

        New organizations often report on motions to dismiss in newsworthy cases, even when a motion fails. It has nothing to do with the underlying merit, or lack thereof in this case, of the argument. It does have to do with public interest and setting precedent for other Jan 6 cases.
