Doesn't attorney-client privilege mean that the attorney can't reveal the documents? How does it imply that the press can't, if it obtains them?
-
It’s just an evidentiary protection - you can’t be forced by the court to hand over communications between you and your attorney in the course of litigation to the opposing party. That’s it, it generally doesn’t stop me from publishing those comms if I legally acquire them.
