It always is an understandable consequence from a document that does not value life. Just certain lives.

The school teacher suffered and lost her life. This man lived another 36 years. I’m not sure how I feel about capital punishment…but his not wanting to suffer the momentary effects of the lethal injection is infuriating

Bring back death by firing squad. Quick, easy, cheap, and if you mess up the first time, they're only in pain for a second before it's corrected.

Wow. Hard to weigh up this form of justice. To think, many citizens alive today who weren't then had their tax dollars go to fulfilling the call for justice in this case and many others that will either end with the last breath of so many on death row and an exit from a cell....pic.twitter.com/rCtVDFxIwL

Another example of the contradiction. I suppose life only matters in utero.

Funny thing though. The law's never exactly about what matters when it comes to the value of lives. There is no protection for the unborn in the US Constitution. There's no value for lives that are not profitable to those on charge. Constitution was for white property owning men.
