A "few" decades? Do Thanksgiving led to something that happened 20 or 30 or 40 years later?

It wasn’t Thanksgiving, it was being European that caused it. Their savagery is documented in the history of colonialism in Asia, Africa and the Americas.

This happened on both sides. Europeans and Indigenous people killed indiscriminately….women and children. Just seems like writers want to cherry pick these days instead of telling both sides of a story

I fixed smoked turkey and ham. The in-laws came over. We visited and passed the new grand baby around. It was nice to spend time with the family.

Undoubtedly, this was wrong. But the modern adaptation of history ignores an obvious fact; the story of history is the story of conquest. People have been fighting, displacing natives, murdering, torturing etc since the dawn of man. We’ve only just begun to pretend to care.
