Memphis is actually pretty gritty lol in all of the worst ways. Been there once never want to go back. The place is dirty and pretty much runs on gang activity. Currently it has the highest violent crime rate in the country. It's dumb that news outlets use this wording tho

334 homicides in 2020. That's almost 1 a day all year long. Violent crime rate 3X the national average. Someone got shot next door to the cookie shop at the family dollar while people were setting up a memorial
