In April, several refugees confirmed to the
@AP that they had been given new identity cards eliminating all traces of Tigray by authorities from another ethnic group. “Their aim is to erase Tigray,” said a Tigrayan man whose original ID was burned.http://apne.ws/rYa8Fw7Show this thread -

@AP found in April.http://apne.ws/KKsHj6pShow this thread -
When the
@AP arrived in Hawzen in May, Tigrayan fighters had recently retaken the rural town from Ethiopian government troops, laying claim once again to land that had switched control multiple times since the war began.http://apne.ws/4j1c5KBShow this thread -

The war began as a dispute between Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, who won the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize for making peace with neighboring Eritrea, and the Tigrayans who had long dominated Ethiopia’s national government.http://apne.ws/HuSkqpv

The war wasn't started because of "peace made" with Eritrea.The so called peace with Eritrea remains a secret. The borders bwn Eritrea& Ethiopia have been closed. It opened the way for Isaias Afwerki to destroy Tigray, its arch enemy. Isaias's now training Amhara Forces.
