The death of a cinematographer on a movie set when Alec Baldwin fired a prop gun has led to calls for fundamental change in Hollywood. One network TV drama has already banished real weapons from the set and some are calling for an industry-wide ban.http://apne.ws/BjzN41f

Getting rid of operational firearms on movie/tv sets will contribute to easing the burden on safety crews.

So, a prop gun is a real gun? Why is it then called a "prop gun"? Anybody?

The crazy thing in this tweet is that they even had real weapons on set in the first place. Like why? Why on earth would real weapons be needed on a movie set?

I can understand having a real weapon for authenticity, but putting live rounds in is criminal. Before anyone accepts a weapon from someone else they should check what's inside it

How about not glamorizing gun violence in movies and shows? Do we really have to in America? Just turn on television -and count how many guns are pointed in viewers faces during the day. It's offensive.
